Client: NetJets.
Project type: anniversary book.
Role: art direction.
Designer: Carlos Clock.
Writer: Aimee Revelle.
Year: 2014.
Background: Based on the brief the book needed to be photography-driven
with a contemporary and sophisticated look+feel. A flexible
modular grid was created to accomodate archive images, a
timeline with gatefold and multiple quotes from key figures of
the past.
The materials used for the book also complements the
sophistication and attention to detail to this product, it
comes in a bespoke T-shaped mailer box, it is shrink wrapped
with thick cellophane, has a protective sleeve case, elegant
paperstock, waxed linen for the cover, two bookmarks and was
printed in 8 colours plus foil blocking. The final product was
also translated into six languages.
In 2016 the book won an award at the Appleton U360 competition
(U.S.).
